turning four!

W turned four today. He has been ANXIOUSLY awaiting this day for weeks now, constantly asking if it was June yet, then if it was his birthday THIS saturday. It must be hard to have your birthday be the last one...



Here he is opening presents on my bed. That Pokedex made quite the rounds this year. Bucket got a new (and cooler) one at the school rummage sale, so he gave his old one to Monkey for her birthday and then she gave it to W for his birthday. I think he'll keep it...



He wanted a yellow car on his cake. He's VERY into Transformers now, so he wanted a yellow car that would be Bumblebee transformed. It was a quick and simple cake but he was very pleased. I love all his expressions - cutest boy in the world!





His birthday was very low key: a friend's birthday party in the morning, birthday cake for lunch (per his request), birthday pics at Target and homemade mac n cheese for dinner. What else could a four-year-old ask for? Well, he asked to stop at DI on our way home from pics and we found a big bag of Transformers (mostly Happy Meal ones) for $2. He is one very happy boy!
