Eclipse

Coming home from my grandma's party Sunday night put us in a perfect position to see the eclipse as we came around point of the mountain.  There was a break in the clouds so we stopped at the Park and Ride and Beorn made a quick pin hole camera.

Although we weren't far enough south to see the ring of fire, we did get a nice crescent.

The kids thought it was pretty amazing. This is probably my favorite pic.  I love Nini's open-mouthed fascination, once she understood what she was looking at.

We were only one of many cars stopped there to take advantage of the break in cloud cover.  I'm so grateful we were in the right place at the right time so the kids could have this experience.
