Cultural Celebration

As part of the Temple dedication the youth in our temple district had the opportunity to participate in a big Cultural Celebration - a night of music and dancing.  It was a lot of work and a lot of time for a LOT of people, but it was really wonderful to see.

Monkey sang with the opening choir.

Bucket danced with our stake.

This was the finale... the youth up and down the stairs, holding (fake) candles, as they sang about how the Lord can take our lives from ashes into something beautiful.  That was the theme of the night... paralleling the burning of the tabernacle and it being rebuilt into a temple.

The whole thing was beautiful and I found myself tearing up more than once, especially in the "Sometimes he lets it rain" number.

And thank you to the kind people who posted these videos to youtube!!
