orchid!!

Last year I lost pretty much ALL my orchids to bugs... I had fought them for over a year, but I finally had to admit defeat and throw away 90% of the plants.  It was a sad, sad day.  The remaining couple plants lived pot-less in the shower for weeks while I made SURE they were bug free.  They are still recovering.

But... a while later my mom bought me a dead (ie done blooming) orchid when we were out shopping.  Despite it's lack of flowers it was big and healthy and happily started to bloom this spring.

So here is me - enjoying my new camera and my beautiful orchid:
