We took the kids for a drive after dinner on Sunday. The day had been so nice, we thought it would be a perfect evening for seeing the fall leaves up the canyon. Unfortunately, clouds blew in so it was overcast by the time we left and it got dark even earlier (it even rained overnight).
It wasn't quite the family outing we envisioned, but, we still had fun together, saw beautiful things and took some pictures.
I think my favorite part was the sunset over Timpanogos. Without that storm blowing in, we wouldn't have been able to see this:
One more reminder to me that the storms in life serve a purpose. Sometimes, there are things of beauty only visible during or after periods of trial.
