Transformers!

After Church, my mom came to visit and see the kids' gifts. Later that evening we went to Beorn's mom's for dinner. Dinner was late while we waited for Jenny, who was at the hospital. It is no fun to be sick on Christmas.
My family's Christmas breakfast was the 26th this year. My sister generously lets the extended family invade her home, since she has the best floor plan for large groups. That afternoon we visited my dad.
And for those of you who may have wondered... our "no toy" Christmas (here) was wonderful. Yes, Santa brought toys, but having a low toy holiday worked out really well. The kids were extremely happy with their gifts. They didn't feel deprived. The toys they did receive were truly loved. (W carried those two Transformers with him all day and has slept with them every night since Christmas.) And I didn't have the stress of trying to find "homes" for all their stuff - no rearranging everything to try to make all the new toys fit in their rooms. Thank you for supporting us with this, it really made a good Christmas. And yes, we're planning to do the same next year.
