It runs in the family...

So, you may remember my ankle issues...
cast for 6 weeks in 7th grade
a broken ankle in college
cast for 4 weeks in college
splint/crutches for weeks as a young mom (though that was the other ankle)
multiple "minor" sprains over the years (there was a really good one on my mission and another about 6 years ago)
and of course, my most recent sprain

Monkey may not look like me, but she decided to at least do her ankles like me:

Due to summer school (to make up her two F's from 3rd term), Monkey only got to attend the last 36 hours of Girls' Camp (thurs evening to sat morning).  Friday night she stepped on one of the boards they'd place over the gopher holes (to keep girls from falling in), but the board shifted and she fell in anyway.  She sprained both her ankle and foot and spent a couple weeks in a boot.  It didn't bruise, being a pull rather than a tear, and it's healed quickly.

(I have photographic evidence that she was enjoying camp before she got hurt, despite her statements to the contrary.)

And then my mother decided she was feeling left out and had to join the ankle twisting club.

She did a really good job of it, too.  (oh ye faint of heart, turn away now....)
