Yup, Disneyland was forced to endure a whole troop of Nielson women.
My grandma wasn't able to come at the last minute due to a severe back strain. We missed her. My mom had to make this a "low-key" trip since she is recovering from a concussion. Mom and I drove down together Wednesday. A couple of those flying down were already there and the other carload arrived later that night. It was a crazy fun night - up talking and laughing, laughing and talking until WAY too late. More of us arrived the next day/evening. In the end there were five of the six sisters, nine of the twelve cousins and one child (though we didn't count her that way, being 18, she was the only one of her generation allowed to come). We had three days of non-stop Disney fun. I really enjoyed being able to play and visit with my family, especially spending time with those I hardly ever get to see. It was good to catch up and commiserate on the difficulties of life. We are all strong willed women, which can make for interesting family dynamics, but we are still family and I love them all.
First day group photo:
Invading the Jungle Cruise - one of the few rides we did ALL together. Our captain managed to really impress us - coming up with joke after joke that we experienced Disney people didn't know.
Space Mountain
Hanging with my awesome aunties.
Characters.
Tow-mater with Bonnie.
The whole group with our matching shirts.
Tower of Terror.
Quality time with my mom and my baby sister.
Racers.
Over-running the restaurants.
Snoopy, Snoopy and more Snoopy!
Thank you Lindsay for the brilliant idea and thank you Bonnie for masterminding the whole adventure!
