kitchen clock

As I've added glass to the kitchen, my traditional kitchen clock has looked more and more out of place. Finally, I just moved it downstairs, but not having a clock hanging on the kitchen wall just seems wrong. So, I've been facing the hard task of finding a clock worthy of my kitchen. In the end, I decided to make one.

Found a great plate at DI for $2.

And one clock work and a little paint later.... Beorn drilled a hole in the plate for the clock work to come through. Then I painted the clock work the wall color, to make it more or less invisible. (though it looks like I need to paint the screw that holds it.) I painted the numbers and hands to match the copper in the kitchen.

Here are my favorite new pieces in the kitchen:
Glass owl cookie jar - FREE (from a friend)

Trifle dish - $1
